Good, clean fun for the family on a rainy or cold Sunday evening. My grand children loved it.

Oh my gosh. This movie is brilliant! I dunno why so many people hate it, but I thought it was great! Imagine the Mushroom Kingdom, only... modernised quite a bit. 1990's-style. Now, imagine Bo-Bombs being wind-ups of doom and destruction to any who dare wind it up. Imagine Toad being a rock-star, Goombas being body-guards for Koopa, and Koopa being an evil president-guy evolved from a dinosaur, plus Yoshi being a baby dinosaur instead of a green... thing. Then you got yourself this great blockbuster thrill-ride!

Mario Junkies Will Love This Movie

My 12-year old son is a Mario "junkie" and loves all things Mario. He buys old Nintendo game systems and games just for another Mario "experience". Just last weekend with birthday money he purchased four Mario game dolls (Mario, Luigi, the gorilla and another character) all at once. With that in mind I purchased Super Mario Bros. starring Bob Hoskins for his birthday. Although he complained that John Leguizamo (sp?) looked nothing like Luigi he seemed to thoroughly enjoy the film.

Kids will like it

My son who is a Mario addict really enjoyed this live version. For me, it was enjoyable....clearly nothing great, but a few laughs.
