Hundreds of compilation recordings have been thrust on the market in recent years on the theory that classical music makes a nice, non-threatening accompaniment to everything from working out to making love. And here we have one compilation promising to make
your
baby
smarter. It's offensive enough that the music featured on these compilations is spliced up so that the most you hear of any work is a single movement; what's really annoying is the poor quality of so many of the featured performances. So it is some consolation that the artists here include such 20th-century legends as the Cleveland Orchestra under Szell and the Budapest String Quartet with Mieczyslaw Horszowski. Of course if these folks were alive, one can imagine their violent objection to this presentation of their work. --Gwendolyn Freed

Very Happy
The CD was exactly what I was looking for in perfect, new condition. I received it two days before the scheduled delivery. I am using one of the songs for my wedding and am so glad I purchased this CD.
Nice Collection
This is a good collection of classical music designed to "

's
Brain
." As to whether that is true or not, I am not sure though there is a correlation between math and music and to the extent that music helps you relax it may help think clearly.
That being said, this is a nice collection of classical music with some good performances included. It works well a nice compilation that does relax both baby and Mom.

Baby's soul pacifier
Approximately six weeks ago my wife gave birth to our second daughter. We were released from the hospital shortly after the birth. We returned home with a sweet
baby
, it was a grand feeling. We were exhausted, particularly my wife, as my task to assist her was relatively easy. The first night at home I took the errand of a humble good husband and I held my daughter in my arms and let my wife sleep between the breast feedings. However, my baby was very restless and she was screaming like a wild cat. My knees hurt, my back hurt, my eyes grew weary and soon I feared I will collapse with the baby. I was walking through the living room like a shaman, yet no solution came to mind. To wake up my poor exhausted wife would be cruel of me, thus I kept trying to pacify my daughter while holding her in my arms whispering `what am I gonna do? What am I gonna do?' And then, after few minutes it dawned at me, music! Music might help. I browsed through our collection and to my sheer surprise I have found this cd. My first daughter got it as a present from my mother in law but we never had the chance to listen to it because we moved to a new town at the time, and it was buried between the boxes. It was ideal for babies, so I was quite curious, even though I had doubt that she would like Mozart's music. Thereupon I put it on and magic took over, my baby just loved it, she turned smiling and happy, but most of all it soothed her so much that she fell asleep with a smile. I must admit I fell in love with it, and it soothes me as well. In my free days I put it on for my baby girl and often lay next to her for sweet naps. I recommend it to all parents around the world; it has a cosmic melody that appeals to all nations. Moreover, this music is good for healing of adults as well, just put it on `repeat all' and rest to unwind. And as for babies, I should put it this way: it is truly a baby's soul pacifier.
