With the Sony CCD-TRV128 Hi8 Handycam camcorder, you get most of the high-end features you would expect from a top-of-the-line camcorder, such as a 2.5" SwivelScreen LCD display, a huge 20X optical zoom and NightShot Plus infrared recording system, all for an unbelievably low price. It even includes the new Easy Handycam feature, which automates most of the camcorder's processes and makes videotaping a snap.

Very Impressive

I have had this camcorder since October of '04, and I have only complained about one thing: not being able to hook it up to a computer through USB. Other than that, this is a very cool li'l camera that shoots good quality images. I shot video at a party for a music video with it once, and am currently using it to make a film I wrote. This is a very handy camcoreder indded, and I would recommend it to just anyone who wants to capture some fun times. I only recommend that you buy lots of tapes--it's just fun to waste tape on recording random crap sometimes!

Perfect choice for something easy to use

After toying with the idead of getting a camcorder, I recently bought this Sony camcorder about a week ago. Out of all the ones I've researched this one seemed to be the easiest to use. I've never used a camcorder before and I was able to use this without looking through the manual. Every feature on the camcorder is clear as day to use. If you are just looking for something simply to use that has features that ANYONE can operate, this is the camera for you.

Another well made product by Sony

Well, considering this is a discontinued item I won't go in to great detail. Sony products may be a little more expensive than comparable items but you can always count on them to work well and this camcorder is no exception. Have owned it for 4 years with absolutely no problems and still use it.
