For delicious crisp, fried foods, look no further than this Avante Deep Fryer. Its an extra large unit that has a 2.75 lb. fresh food capacity/ 2.5L oil capacity. Features include a hermetically sealed locking lid prevents dangerous spills and odors. It's a removable lid (automatic lid-opening button opens the lid for added safety), with a removable filter. Also features an adjustable thermostat so you can select the proper frying temperature (302 to 374 F). Other features include a temperature ready light, On & off switch & electronic timer. Frying basket and nonstick coated pot are dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. Black with chrome accents. Metal/plastic construction. Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required.

Amazing

This is a GREAT deep freyer, totally worth the money... I used to own a FRY DADDY, and it was very messy. This deep freyer is a little intimidating at first but once you use it you will love it. My house had no deep fry smell when I was done using it and I only had to make 1 batch of fries for my family of 3. It's also very convient, when I was done with it I just unpluged it, closed the lid and pushed back in the corner. There was no splattered grease mess either.

Good but I don't think I'd buy another one.

I like the fryer but it just doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. If you are frying battered anything the batter sticks to the basket and you can't get your food out. I would think there would be a way to make a better basket but if one exists it's not on this fryer. Plus the odor filter isn't all that impressive, it could be worse but it could definitely be better. But you can make an awesome batch of fried chicken in here.

An excellent fryer

The fact that all the pieces exposed to oil are dishwasher-safe is a terrific feature. The pot is nice and big, and the lid prevents a "moat" of oil from forming around the unit.
There is a charcoal filter on top to help remove odor, but be prepared for a fair amount of odor anyway. Recommend using below a cook-top fan.
Overall an excellent fryer.
