Logitech
knows who you are. You have a half-dozen
remote
s on the coffee table. And you're the only
one
in the family who knows how to use them. Logitech can help with the
Harmony
One
Advanced
Universal
Remote. Enjoy a full-color touch screen. Intuitive button layout. And an ergonomic design. So easy to use, the whole family will love it.
Takes the 880 to the next level
I had owned two
Harmony
880's for 3 years and they were awesome. The only complaint I had was that the charger was not very reliable. After three years
one
of my units finally died so when I went to replace it I decided to try the Harmony ONE. It is brilliant. It deals with all of the (albeit minor) flaws of the 880 and makes this the best truly
universal
remote
on the market. And it is hundreds cheaper than the high end ones home theatre stores try to sell you. I loved it so much I replaced my second 880 with another one as well.

Lord of the rings oops Remotes/ Mother of all remotes
Like said in LOTR
one
ring to rule them all this "ONE" to rule them all(electronic components with
remote
s).
Got my one a month ago.Its one of the best gadgets ive ever owned. Initially I was hesitant whether I'd be able to set up the remote without any help but it was quite easy it took about 40 miutes to set up the same.
Luckily my all equipments of Home theatre are latest ( SANYO PROJECTOR Z-5 WITH 120" SCREEN: AMPLIFIER/ RECIEVER YAMAHA RXV 1800 WITH LATEST HD SOUND FORMATS : PANASONIC BD 30 BLURAY PLAYER : PIONEER DV 696A DVD PLAYER which I have kept as stand by in case some dvds of different region do not work in the BD player. The BD PLAYER PROJECTOR & DVD PLAYER are routed thru the Reciever via HDMI cable.
I have fixed a scratchguard(which is used on PDA'S)on the touch screen to avoid being dirty & it works perfectly fine. I have also kept the remote in a soft transparent plastic cover with thick bidding on the sides in case it falls its at least a bit safe.
The best things about this remote are the backlite/ touch screen / hard buttons which are very responsive unlike other remotes even
logitech
's which have soft buttons & have to be pressed hard.
The only problem is that after any changes are made one has to upgrade the remote for which you have to have a "proper" net connection. In my home i have a net connection run by a private co.It seems the network is weak because of that the remote dosent get upgraded immediately. In my office the same happens in one shot since the connecton is Govt. owned.
Lastly I confess that in case I lose/damage this remote( which is a remote possibility) I would buy a another ONE without hesitation.

The ONE Remote to rule them all
This is undoubtably the best
remote
I have ever owned. I had purchased the X10 Icon Remote several months ago and I have to admit that it is great although when I switched to AT&T U-Verse, it would not control the DVR/STB. I read all the reviews and eventually purchased the
Harmony
ONE
. I have a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro DLP, a Toshiba HD-DVD, the U-Verse DVR which is a Motorola VIP1216, a Denon AV Receiver, a Dlink DSM 520 media client, an old VCR, a Roku internet music player, and an old, old Philips CD-i player. The setup is done via the web and all you need to know is the model number of each component you want to configure. The ONE knew every one of my components. Then, I began the process of defining "activites" which are the ways in which you interact with your components. In my system the Denon receiver is used as my audio/viedo switch. Activities like "listen to Roku" do not turn the TV on at all and activities like "Watch TV with Antenna" use my TV's internal ATSC tuner and Antenna input one and the DVR remains powered off. I configured my entire system in 20 minutes! I had one question for
Logitech
Technical Support and they had no voice mail menus, I got directly to a human, they spoke english, didn't read scripts, can remotely see my configuration which is web based, and their help was superb! Wow! I am more than sold. I got 2-day shipping and Amazon shipped and I received the Harmony ONE in one day. Wow again!

Outstanding Control in a Simple Package
After two days with the
Harmony
One
, I can honestly say it cleanly consolidates my 7 other
remote
s into a single device that is simple enough for my wife and kids to use, and powerful enough to let me control the finer settings on my equipement without reverting to the factory remotes.
Programming was simple and straight forward. It helps that I had my laptop on the table in my living room so I could program the remote, and then try out the results. During intial setup, the software detected updates and installed them for both the PC software, and then downloaded updates onto the remote control.
Logitech
had accurate programming for each of my devices, ranging from JVC, Denon, Sony, Microsoft Zune, Xbox, and TiVo. The software correctly recognized that my Denon AVR-4802 is a multi-zone receiver, and it prompted me for whether I had the receiver configured as a 7.1 channel single-zone amplifier, or whether I was using the receiver as a 5.1 channel amplifier and routing the other two channels into zone two. When I indicated a multi-zone configuration, the software split the programming into two sections, one for each zone. Even some of my really old equipment was accurately represented and controlled.
Setting up one-touch activities is straight forward. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to rename the activities after I created them, but even that is simple once you know where to look. Reordering activities to appear on the display pages in logical groupings, and in a preferred order is easy. Various settings on the remote can be controlled, such as how much help the remote offers during use, the duration of the backlighting, and the theme used for the display on the remote.
The charging station is low profile and good looking. The power light on the charging station can be adjusted between high, low, and off. We use the remote during the day, and then simply lay it in the docking station when we are finished and it charges overnight.
This was a great investment to improve the primary interface of my home entertainment system, the remote control.

Almost Perfect - You Won't Find Anything Better In This Price Range
This is my second
Harmony
remote
and it is clear that the work
Logitech
/ Harmony did on this
one
was incredibly thorough. I'm giving only 4 stars because we just can't seem to get it working absolutely perfectly. It could be my equipment but all too frequently devices are "missed" and either not powered on or off. The 'help' feature is great for this but to have to use it one out of every two times is just too much. Again, it could be my equipment - my IR blaster could be the issue. In any case, the ability to add your own channel icons, the button layout, color screen, etc. is simply fantastic. The packaging is frankly Apple-like in its elegance, as is the remote itself. The remote is expensive, but I tested one of Logitech's earlier attempts that is currently at the $130 price point and I can tell you that my extra $70 was very well spent. If you are looking for a
universal
IR remote and are willing to spend the money, this is the remote to invest in.
