Dude! You gotta' buy this for your mom!" --Jeremy Duncan

A popular psychologist says that teenage boys fire their mothers. It's an age when nurturing moms who've spent years cuddling, tucking, and rocking their little boys suddenly find themselves on the outside trying to see in. Most moms and sons do not make the transition gracefully.

Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman are trying something different with this collection of their phenomenally successful comic strip, Zits. They have combed through more than 10 years of strips and selected more than 200 of the most popular of the Mom/Son themed strips into one book.

"The idea is to provide a more focused look at the dynamic that drives almost all of the mountain of Zits e-mail and letters we receive every month," says Scott. Borgman adds, "If moms can stop what they're doing long enough to discover this book, we think they'll find a lot of comfort (and laughs) in seeing that their struggles with their grunting, slouching, uncommunicative, sloppy, and ultimately incomprehensible sons are universal.

A MUST for parents of teenage sons

As the mother of a 13-year-old who is in the process of "firing" his mother, I can strongly relate to many of the strips in this book. Sometimes the similarities, while funny, are so close to discussions that have happened in our house that it's a bit unsettling! This is NOT just for moms either - there's plenty of hilarious "you are not alone" strips for ALL parents of teenager sons.

Zits always a great read

Jeremy's Mom should be up for sainthood. A lot of these comics remind me of my mom and brother.

This is the owner manual for anyone with a teenage son

I swear Zits is sometimes the only reason I don't fling heavy objects at my son....(plus when he sleeps he is kind of cute). This particular anthology of Jeremey and his mom really hits home. The dialog is so real, it's clear a lot of parents feel they are reading a repeat of last night's attempt at conversation! The nice part is that the authors give equal reality to both Jeremy's point of view and his Mom's. They find the humor among the frustration and misunderstandings that litter this time of life.

Is He Looking in My Window?

My wife swears that the authors have been looking in the window while my youngest son is growing up. She swears that the comic is right on the money; she loves it!

Interesting - but actually a collection of previous works

This is essentially a group of previous strips that focus on Connie, rather than an original compilation. It's a nice retrospective, but a waste of money for those who already have the other compilations.
