Holy Action Scenes, Batman!

After the modest "Batman" and the disappointing "Batman Returns" comes
"Batman Forever," featuring an all-star cast: Val Kilmer, Academy Award winner Tommy Lee Jones (Best Supporting Actor, "The Fugitive; 1993), Jim Carrey ("The Mask"), Nicole Kidman ("Far And Away," "To Die For," "Days Of Thunder"), Chris O'Donnell ("The Three Musketeers") and Drew Barrymore ("E.T.," "Firestarter") in a very minor role as one of Two-Face's (Jones) henchwomen. This new installment in the franchise, which sadly went into hibernation after "Batman & Robin" and was fully reborn out of the ashes with the spectacular "Batman Begins" (which was better than "Batman" and
"Batman Returns") fires on all cylinders here. The storyline is much better developed, as the first two films had a comic-book feel to them and lacked any emotional depth to the characters and physical depth to the action sequences. Rated PG for some strong stylized action.

Who thought this was BAD!!??

I found this movie very brilliant and outstanding!!!!
I loved it very enjoyable, since I was a kid!Batman Forever (Two-Disc Special Edition)

Pretty good

I like this Batman movie a lot of people hate it but I like it a lot and this was a big hit in 1995 got a few award nominations. Val Kilmer did a good job Jim Carey was just Jim Carey. Tommy Lee Jones was good as Two Face not great loved Bruce Wayne's love interest Chase Maridan played by Nicole Kidman. Good story but they should've stopped here or gave it a few years had Tim Burton do the directing cause Tim Burton being the producer of the film saved it from being a Joel Schumacher camp fest like Batman & Robin was.

Mediocre at Best - the Beginning of the End

This movie began the descent part of the Batman arc or dive. Even though Bob Kane himself said that he always pictured Bruce Wayne as portrayed by Val Kilmer, the film as a whole did not carry a whole lot of appeal. Chris O'Donnell, while doing a fine job as Robin, reminded me more of Jason Todd than Dick Grayson.

I enjoyed Gotham much more as Tim Burton's dark vision rather than Joel Schumacher's Neon Funland.

The movie carries on the mythology with the introduction of Robin, but sets the premise for the subsequent failure of "Batman and Robin."
