Funny & Sexy!!
I love these 1-title books from Amanda Quick. I know they are not a series, but each book has some similarities, but she always keeps it fresh and very sexy!!
A refreshing read!
I checked
Deception
out of the library a few days ago. I intended on reading it as a study break as I plowed through math GRE preparations. This book is so refreshing and funny that I do believe I will purchase my own copy! Of course, not everyone has the same tastes as I--but if you like regency romance stories with a side of innocence and arrogance then this is a book for you!

Very enjoyable summer read
I have read almost every novel Amanda Quick has ever written. In my opinion,
Deception
by Amanda is definitely a winner. The story is romantic, and tender, while at the same time exciting. Also, the story is complex, and satisfyingly. I love it when she writes about a strong woman character. Inspiring, and a very enjoyable summer reading
Entertaining, but not the best romance novel I've read
The plot was generally entertaining and kept me pretty intrigued. I read this book really quickly because it was definitely fun and lighthearted. I'm not sure I really buy the romantic pairing of Jared and Olympia. I found Olympia and Jared each to be slightly annoying in some parts and didn't really understand each's attraction to the other. It just seemed that one moment they were just there and the next there was romance between them.
I would recommend this book, but I would not go so far as to claim that it was one of the best I've read or even very romantic for that matter.

Disappointing
I was a little disappointed with this book. Viscount Chillhurst is a man who looks like a pirate and is descended from a buccaneering family, Olympia Wingfield is a bookish pushy lady and the two are thrown together when a valuable book that Chillhurst has been chasing ends up with the collector, Olympia. Chillhurst masquerades as a family tutor to Olympia's wards in order to get his hands on the book - but he finds he has signed up for more than he bargained for.
This book followed Amanda Quick's usual formula of dark and dashing hero and strongwilled woman with a sprinkling of love and mystery. However, I couldn't find myself liking Olympia that much as she seemed so dense. Jared Chillhurst was a little more appealing, but he also seemed to get very didactic as the book went along.
There are other better Amanda Quick books, but this is still worth reading.
