Still
Life
with
Woodpecker
is a sort of a love story that takes place inside a pack of Camel cigarettes. It reveals the purpose of the moon, explains the difference between criminals and outlaws, examines the conflict between social activism and romantic individualism, and paints a portrait of contemporary society that includes powerful Arabs, exiled royalty, and pregnant cheerleaders. It also deals with the problem of redheads.
Love it
It seems like every tom robbins book i pick up is perfect for the mind frame i'm in. I read this one in the summer of 2007 and
still
think about it often. A short of a love story, brillant.

Amazing!
Robbins is hands down one of the best (if not the best) American writers of all times. His use of paradox, his complex yet funny use of language, his ability to make you laugh and think in the same sentence make his books a joy to read.
Still
Life
is no exception. One of his best novels along with Jitterbug Perfume.
Birthday gift
item arrived well packaged and in perfect condition, i was very pleased with this purchase.
