Sense & Sensibility

Lovely movie that has adapted the novel to perfection. The characters are portrayed in such a way that you can't help but feel that you are there amongst them. One of the movies that you could watch time and again - comparing it to the actual novel has been a real pleasure.

DVD Sense & Sensibility

I bought this DVD accidentally. One moment I was looking to buy the DVD Persuasion, and the the next thing I realized I had ordered Sense & Sensibility. SO far I haven't decided what to do with the 2 I ordered.

A Review of Sense and Sensibility

Another Jane Austen great! Emma Thompson was wonderful as Elinor. She embodied the ideal of "sensibility" in love. She deserved the Golden Globe award for "best screenplay". Alan Rickman as the "Colonel" was very impressive. I imagine it would be an actor's dream to act in one of Jane Austen's novels on screen.

I recommend this movie to anyone who loves a good, romantic film.

Predictable

The movie was very predictable.I think the story was great, but the cast didn't seem appropriate for the movie. Just have seen them in too many other movies. Their characters weren't believable.
