meet Doug Black?the Wilder brother who?s been missing for centuries. With no idea of where he?s from, he?s become an angry young cop with the ability to transform
into
a cougar. in search of others like him, he comes across a beautiful woman who may hold the secret to his destiny...
FANTASTIC END!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved it. It's the perfect end of a great story. Action, battles and of course love and passion make this
book
extraordinary. It was great to see so much of the rest of the brothers and their wives. The interaction between them and the dialogue makes you feel like you are intruding in a family scene of people you know. You have to laugh at the brothers antiques. Several times I found myself with conflicting emotions. I didn't know if I needed to cry, laugh or get mad. This final book has everything. Highly recommended!!!

AWESOME!
I loved the whole
Darkness
Chosen
series and this
book
was an incredible wrap up. Others have already given a summery and I can't offer any additional info without spoilers. Believe me, this is one book you definitely want to read without a single spoiler!
The story was fast paced and exciting. I just couldn't put it down. The family relationships are so wonderful. During the last 1/3 of the book I was actually crying at times, and I just don't do the while reading books. There's plenty of suspense... Oh, I could go on and on.
This book, and the entire series, are most definitely keepers.

Don't miss this book!
I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about this series in the beginning -- I'm not much for the paranormal genre. But something about this family hooked me and drew me in. This, the fourth
book
in the series, gives each member of this amazing and unique family a chance to shine, and brings a fascinating story to its conclusion. I'll admit that I'm sorry to see the last of those Wilder guys -- the scene where three of them are jostling to get to the driver's seat first made me laugh out loud!
Here's what I liked:
1 - the epic battle. OK, so this is a romance novel, I know. But the action scenes were GREAT, and surprisingly believable, if you are willing to suspend disbelief and buy
into
the premise of shape changers.
2 - the strong male and female characters. I loved the fact that the men were confident enough in their women to include them in the battle instead of telling them to hang back wring their hands. And I loved seeing the women step it up and kick a little a$$.
3 - use of the senior Wilder's power for good, not evil. It was wonderful to see Konstantine in action and see him use his cunning, developed back when he was a "bad guy", to benefit the "good guys".
4 - lots of Adrick. Loved him from the last book and was pleased to have the opportunity to see him welcomed back into the family.
Here's what I didn't like:
1 - the lead characters were a bit young and didn't seem well-defined. I'd gotten to know Firebird as an incidental character in the previous books, but I didn't think the book did an adequate job in examining the dimensions of either her character or that of her love interest. Maybe I'm just at the stage of life where I'm really not interested in reading about the love lives of a couple of 23 year-olds...
2 - the overuse of the "cute kid" angle as a plot devise. Those scenes were too reminiscent of bad dialogue from a mediocre family sitcom. (I could almost hear the canned laugh track as I was reading...)
But the "likes" far outweigh the "dislikes" for me. Bottom line, if you've read the three previous books, you owe it to yourself to see how the Wilder's story ends.

Great read
I enjoyed this
book
and how she wrapped up the series. The characters are well written and the family dynamics are fun. Thank you.
