A twisting and fast moving tale

In the he boomtown of Plum Creek, Kansas, Skye Fargo witnesses a father-daughter team of grifters knocking over the local bank. Tracking them he takes back the bank's money but soon finds himself with a posse of angry townsfolk on his tail. With a couple of canny con artists on the lam, a pair of brutal bounty hunters eager to kill everyone and two Cheyenne warriors out for revenge, Fargo has to pull a fast gun if he's going to make it out alive.

A lot of characters give Jon Sharpe plenty of scope for this twisting and fast moving tale and the writer even manages to bring back a character from an earlier Trailsman book.

The author behind the name of Jon Sharpe this time is one I find it takes a while for me to get into his writing style, and to accept a Trailsman that's not portrayed quite like other authors of the series do (mainly his speach).

Still, not a bad read as I found myself wanting to find out how Fargo would come out on top against near impossible odds.
