Simple, step-by-step diagrams in this "how to" book make it easy for youngsters--and would-be artists of all ages--to draw people of all shapes and sizes, engaged in a variety of activities. Simply by joining circles, ovals, rectangles, cylinders, and other shapes, beginning artists will be able to create amazing likenesses of a boy on a swing, a fireman, drummer, mailman, cowboy, a girl rollerskating, an artist, and 23 other subjects. Dover Original. Introduction. 30 pages of black-and-white illustrations.

It is easy a human can do it

No, I am not trying to sell you an insurance. But this book can be the beginning of a great relationship between you child and his pencil doodles. Don't miss this opportunity to buy other books from this author. Also, you can get the ART FOR KIDS: CARTOONING by Art Roche. If you think your child could someday replace Charles M. Schulz or Stan Lee this is the book to get. I did. You can even have some fun trying to draw and making up stories. Well, I hope you or your child gets famous. Good Luck.

Good book!

My children, ages 9 and 10 have enjoyed using this book since they received it for Christmas. It's a great early tutorial on drawing.

Awesome Book!

My daughter is nine and loves to draw. This book gave her a lot of confidence. The pictures are cute and simple. Once she memorizes this book, I will buy her another one from this author.

drawing book

It's a great book for beginners. It uses simple shapes(circles, squares, rectangles) to produce simple, completed step-by-step drawings. I've drawn some of them myself(60 yrs. old) and I think younger, artistically inclined children could do them too.
