Red State Defenses Against Blue Voters

A fabulous read; no, "HANDBOOK" for a Conservative living in Kennedy Country, staphed by John Kerry, who served in Vietnam.
This A-Z encyclopedia of direct comebacks to liberal lies and lockstep has helped me in dealing with my e-Liberal friends. Chapter One started an afternoon bar fight with the female barkeep. I countered her every claim, till the rest of the bar joined in (and I slunk away quietly to fight another day...). A fun book, that will open your eyes regardless of your leanings.

Excellent, well-researched book

This one's hard to put down, and it's organized alphabetically by topic (such as "A is for Abortion: A Woman's Right to Choose Murder?" and "R is for Race-Based Preferences: What's Wrong with Affirmative Action"). Within each chapter, further, are claims made by liberals and numerous factual refutations. Other topics include 9/11, gay marriage, taxes, President George W. Bush, welfare, gun control, Bill Clinton, school vouchers and energy policy.

This book should be required reading for everyone on the planet, and perhaps used to whap liberals upside the head as well.

Political Issues Sharply Defined

In CONSERVATIVE COMEBACKS TO LIBERAL LIES, Gregg Jackson draws a sharp line between the ideological divide separating liberals from conservatives. Most texts that point out these differences tend to be theme oriented with the focus on a few large issues. Here Jackson uses a novel approach. He depicts in alphabetical order the full spectrum of political hot button topics that will make themselves increasingly evident in the next presidential election. It is hard to refute Jackson's arguments since the majority of claims made by liberals are founded on hope and ideology and those by conservatives are grounded in empirical studies.

Most of the scathing comments on Jackson's book tend to be smarmy and sarcastic non-rebuttals of his major points. Indeed, when Jackson, for example, quotes the liberal mantra that abortion should be preserved since it is safe, legal, and rare, his rejoinder that abortion is none of the three is hardly mentioned by liberals who prefer to make their points through repetition and a high level of decibel volume rather than a point by point rebuttal.

Abortion Review

I recently purchased this book because I am a conservative and I enjoy conservative dialogue and debate. However, I would like to comment on the few pages that address abortion. I consider myself a pretty gritty guy and I am really not too prone to be emotionally caught up in most issues but I was devastated by what I read concerning the manner in which abortions are conducted at various levels of pregnancy. Candidly people, it left me cold. I hate to profess my ignorance on the subject but I never really knew anything about some of the horrific procedures described therein. Good God; no wonder there is such an acrimonious debate over the right to life. If you have a daughter or a women in your life that might ever consider such a thing, please have them read this book for that section alone. Every man; every real man, irrespective of politics should also read it thoroughly.
