This book was written by the Boy Scouts founder, Dan Beard, with his wife, Lena and daughter, Adelia. Birds of All Kinds is one of the many edu-tainment books that Channel Craft carries. Being an edu-tainment item means that it provides a combination of educational information in a format and composition style that is entertaining for young readers.

Excellent book for any outdoor explorer. Interesting for adults, too. Now our sons want his other books!

A fun read. Informative. Have been an out doorsman for 40 years and I learned some new skills from this book.

Content is aimed primarily at youth of years-gone-by... I smiled plenty of times while reading it.

Back to Nature

I got this for my 16 year old son. We recently moved from town to a very rural area, and he's been complaining there's nothing to do...so I got him this book and a tool kit. There's a lot of neat stuff to build, and useful survival information. I recommend this for older boys, and "Dangerous Book for Boys" for the younger set.

Amazons Service sucks

I wanted to let you know who bad Amazons service is I ordered this book on December 10th and was told it would be here on time. Well afer spending an hour on the phone with someone from the Philippines my problem was not solved and I am pissed and will never buy anything else from amazon. The Field and Forest Handy Book:

This is a very good book with a lot of information about outdoor life in days gone by. The snowshoe section contained some excellent information.
