Leave it to celebrities to say and do the stupidest things imaginable. From diva-sized tirades to premiere meltdowns to blockbuster blunders, you get it all with The World's Stupidest Celebrities. It goes behind tabloid lines to bring you the glamour, glitz, and gosh-awfulness with gems like:

"Smoking kills. If you're killed, you've lost an important part of your life."
-Brooke Shields

"Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that but not with all those flies and death and stuff."
-Mariah Carey

"Is this chicken or is this fish? I know it's tuna but it says Chicken of the Sea."
-Jessica Simpson

So pop some popcorn, roll out the red carpet, and enjoy Hollywood's dimmest stars. You've got yourself a front row seat to the dumbest show in town.

I can't believe I actually paid for this

If you have ever been on the internet or watched tv, you've already read this entire book. The small blurbs are all past news items that most everybody has heard by now. There are added "bonuses" of corny jokes not even a five year old would laugh at in the form of bumper stickers, made up phone messages, phobias, quizzes, top ten lists, etc. They also included this quote from Mariah Carey:

"Whenever I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I'd love to be skinny like that but not with all those flies and death and stuff."

This supposedly factual quote was proven several years ago to be a fake.

It is rather obvious the authors of this book were cruising websites one day and just decided to write a book. Nothing in this book seems like more than a minute of effort was put into it. Most of the humor books I've read at least try to find some new information to lampoon or ridicule, or try to be funny about rehashed news bits.

The "humor" in this book is seriously lacking and most of it seems like it was ripped from an unfunny comedy website. If you like that kind of humor, there are plenty of websites that will cater to you for free.
