Awesome
This is an amazing read if your writing a
zombie
survival
or
living
one lol.
The zombies are coming! The zombies are coming!
Off of a whim a friend decided to pick up the
Zombie
Survival
Guide
as a present for me. I'd previously read a few pages and enjoyed it. Needless to say, I now love it. The guide is incredibly detailed with the survival methods listed. You'd swear you were reading a book for surviving in the wild really. Everything
from
avoiding infection to finding shelter to surviving in a zombie world! The best part is some of the humor within the guide. Occasionally, you'll run into a particular scenario where the author will throw a bit of humor into the scenario or have a picture that can crack you up. Still, Max Brooks has brought a very serious issue to the forefront of my mind. In short, get your guide, sharpen your machete and prep for the apocalypse! You can be too prepared!

Undead in the Head book review
A wonderful and very fun read.
The
Zombie
Survival
Guide
takes you into the world of the un
dead
. Written in the style of a regular survival manual, The Zombie Survival Guide is far
from
regular. Brooks starts off by talking about the origins of the zombie menace. It explains what causes the dead to rise, the name of the virus and much more useful information. Brooks really tries to make you believe that this is the real cause of the zombies and this is how they function. It is all written in humor, that's why you will find this book in the humor section but zombies are far from funny.
This is a hard book to review since there really is no plot and no characters. It is a lot of fun though. You'll learn survival tips for surviving a zombie outbreak. The book discusses the correct weapons to defend yourself and the ones to distance yourself from. Many more interesting bits of information like how to identify the warning signs of an early zombie outbreak and what to do once you find yourself facing the undead.
The Zombie Survival Guide is also available as an unabridged audio book. It is put out my Random House Audio, and read by Marc Cashman, who does a great job. He reads the book with as much of a straight face as it was written. The audio book runs at 8 hours and 38 minutes, it is rather long but it will keep you entertained. I'll add a link to the end of this review.
Overall The Zombie Survival Guide is a great read, very smart, very funny and well thought out. Max Brooks is a genius when if comes to zombies in literature. I give The Zombie Survival Guide 4 Undead Heads out of 5.

Good book - I recommended
The book was in good condition and the delivery was on time.
Price correct for the quality of the book.
I recommend them.
Im not sure whats most frightening....
the thought that
zombie
s might be real, or the fact that people actually believe this stuff.
They do, honest. You only have to look at some of the blogs and stuff to see that they do.
Mindless hulks shambling the earth. Thats what people who believe in zombies are. "Real" zombies dont actually exist. Hmm, perhaps I should have added a spoiler alert.
However, the fact that this book is so cleverly written is a testament to the ingenious nature of Mr Brooks's writing, seriously, its the funniest thing he has done since "Blazing Saddles", or possibly "Spaceballs", which personally, I found hilarious.
The irony, no perhaps more of a paradox, is that if people who believed in zombies were attacked by zombies intent in eating their brains, the poor zombies would not find enough sustainance to put on a small cracker. Hence you would think that it wouldn't be worth the effort on the part of the zombies to bother, which means that the people who believe in zombies wouldnt be bothered by them at all, and the zombies would have to spend their time chasing people who didnt believe in them to get a decent brain snack, but they couldnt because they dont actually exist. You could go mad thinking about it.
I think I might write a
guide
on "What do do if you find a dragon in your sock draw". Could be a big seller.
PS - Mr Brooks suggests the best way to survive a zombie attack is to build a 19th century prison at the North pole, and fill it with guns and food, so all in all, thats a good, common sense approach that suggests that come the zombocalypse, only Santa would survive. He might have to eat some elves though. Magic.
