Create a Beautiful Life

I discovered Summer McStravick and Flowdreaming on Hayhouse Radio and that discovery has been another stepping stone for a better life. If you treasure your inner world as well as the outer one, you'll manifest good things with flowdreaming. It gets you started with guided daydreams that will turn your life around.

"You can't step twice in the same river." Heraclitus

I *love* these materials!

Flowdreaming is exactly what I was looking for as a person who often feels restless and needs *Something Practical* to focus on...to put my attention completely into. For me, the sensations during flowdreaming are as real as digging my hands into the earth to garden, or mixing colors on my pallate to paint! It can be an extraordinarily ACTIVE and even TACTILE process!

Also, I absolutely love Summer's emphasis on quantum reality. It is something I've been super fascinated by for quite some time, because the concepts seem to answer so many Big Questions...tie (as with strings-hah) so many mysteries together!

The brain, as I heard a scientist describe it on the Charlie Rose show one night, is really like a sheet which has been crumpled up to fit inside our skulls. If we could lay it out, we would understand the intricasies of the threads woven together in an entirely different way.

I think about this a lot during the flowdreaming processes... that my mind seems to allow attention and energy to be centralized & concentrated...to experience what is coming around the corner as though it has already happened, and to expect great things...over-the-top things even! Everything which seems separate is actually woven together... even happening at once. Einstein himself stated that "time is a stubbornly persistent illusion." Love that guy.

Most of all, flow-thinking is simply a fantastic way to live...to get happy FIRST! This is the doorway to allowing every good thing to take place in your life experience, and in a way that you can appreciate more and more fully.

Effective, easy way to positively change your life

I have long believed in a Universal, divine flowing energy that works to bring about balance and harmony, yet Summer McStravick has actually proposed that one could shift their awareness into this divine flow--a dimension of your existence where all things and events originate and your highest good is manifested--to create a more fulfilling life.

Ironically, some of the content of the "Flowdreaming" book just doesn't seem to "flow," as some of Ms. McStravick's ideas on how to exactly explain the concept seem to jump around the book in an unorganized, noncohesive manner, but overall it paints a useful overview that explores how to use this radical technique to really begin manifesting. More can be gained, however, from listening to the accompanying CD that's included.

The CD has two exercises to help you prepare for being in the flow, and three guided meditations that take you into it and assist you in imagining what you would like to create and experience. The three tracks consist of flowdreaming for: 1) the best of everything; 2) financial abundance; and 3) emotional fulfillment and harmonious relationships. Ms. McStravick has a lovely, soothing voice, and her choice of words and emphasis are extremely effective to evoke just the right feelings and images to thoroughly enhance your complete experience of flowdreaming.

Because Ms. McStravick rushes through the induction rather quickly, and others have commented on the same thing in these reviews, there is some argument among her readers as to whether her process is actually a "real" meditation. I believe it is definitely on the same level, where your mind needs to reach the alpha state to allow this process of evoking particular imagery, sensory experiences, and feelings to be more effective. Being a hypnotherapist, I understand the need to relax the body and the critical mind to allow the more holistic, creative function of the mind to become more engaged in this type of visualization process. Even Ms. McStravick herself discusses the similarities in her book on page 94, where she states:

"Once the mental chatter ceases, a person will find him- or herself experiencing alpha brain waves, which act as a bridge between the conscious and subconscious mind. Alpha waves are associated with visualization and daydreaming, and past biofeedback research has shown that a person can increase the number of alpha waves they produce by relaxing and experiencing guided imagery. And deeper meditation evokes theta brain waves, which represent access to the subconscious mind, as well to stores of creativity, memory, emotion, and feeling or sensation.

"Similar to traditional meditation, getting in the Flow means altering your mental state to tap these deeper levels of brain waves."

However, as Ms. McStravick also points out, the difference is that flowdreaming is a guided meditation where you are instructed on what to imagine, whereas traditional meditation is the process of completely stilling the mind.

Nonetheless, because of the need to reach the alpha state for an enhanced experience of flowdreaming, I recommend performing progressive relaxation for a short while before starting her guided meditations in order to allow yourself to fully reach a more productive state of mind.

I've come to the conclusion that this flow energy is incredibly powerful and transformative. You connect with the divine source--the true source of abundance--and allow this source to guide you and bring peace of mind, abundance, and harmony into your life.

I also highly recommend "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" by Steven Lane Taylor and "The Divine Matrix" by Gregg Braden to further your understanding of the concept of divine flow and how to use it for positive transformation.

Flow Dreaming a Radical New Technique for Manifesting Anything you Want

Is a nice 'easy' read book, the real bonus was an unexpected CD sitting secretly at the back cover. The CD is an easy to listening tool. The authoress's voice smooth, west coast and easy on the ear, especially 'absorbant' for actually daydreaming or meditating.

This material needs to be 'seen' in perspective with other material of the same genre. I would imagine many readers are 'searching' and investigating material and this subject. This is another writer sharing their experience. A visit to the Radio/Publishing web site also gives more perspective, this book is a slick, commercial product with plenty of 'professional' glitz.

A good beginners guide to Metaphysics

Very Short and simple book written with less Jargons. Useful for newbeis who are interested to know more about consciousness and metaphysics. Free CD is useful to start your Flowdreaming. Recommended to buy if you have not heard about creative visualization or Silva Ultramind or NLP.
