It's out there, man.

I just got the book yesterday. Holy ****, this is a weird ass book. Funny as **** too. The humor is out there like an alien spaceship flipping around non-stop. I guess when somebody does something original some people are going to love it and others are going to hate it. Either way, this guy took a big chance and I commend him for it. My brother cried while laughing so hard. That's hard laughing.

I haven't read the whole real ultimate power.net website yet, so I can't compare them.

The master

This guy knows his ninjas. Who else has the time to sit in the familyroom watching every ninja movie known to man? From eating a frisbee to head bunting dogs, to smearing pap, this guy knows his ninjas.

so sweet it will blow your face right off

This book is hilarious. I was a fan of the website for some time before the book released, but when it was, I flipped out and ninja-kicked my mom in the neck!
This is one of those books that is so funny, most people cannot really appreciate it. If you do not think it is a funny book, you just don't have a good sense of humor, it is brilliantly hilarious whether you like it or not.

Funny, but disappointing.

I still remember how hard I laughed the first time I saw the Real Ultimate Power website. For that reason, even if this book was supposed to be awful I would have considered purchasing it. I almost felt like I owed the author the money. Considering how much I liked the website I'm not certain if the book disappointed me because it wasn't that funny, or because I've been familiar with the material for so long that it lost its appeal. I saw a lot of reviews discussing the "subtly hidden" true plot about a confused kid having trouble fitting in. The plot is there, but I wouldn't call it subtle. The narrator might as well scream "I am an alientated boy trying to escape reality" on every page. At times this theme was so overpowering that the book started getting depressing. This said, if you ever found the website funny you'll enjoy at least some parts of this book. The author added plenty of new material. My favorite section was a part of the appendix documenting an essay the narrator wrote before and after he stopped taking Ritalin.
