Literally, I took a class and this book is definitely better than the class... its not a "For Dummies" style book so you have to have some idea of how to use a dSLR before you can follow along.

this book was very useful. it had alot of great advice for a novice to a professional photographer to use. made it very easy to understand and learn how to work the different settings on the camera.

Completes the user Canon

This book completes the user manual that comes with the 400D, with a few additional tips that are quite basic indeed and that are common to many other photography books. It would be a nice tool indeed to include in the gear for a novice user of the EOS.
