Creative and Fun!

This book is excellent and takes children on an imaginary adventure using a purple crayon! It is simple and fun to read and to understand!

lovely edition

this edition was larger and nicer in quality than i expected. definitely one for the permanent collection. perfect as a gift for a friend's new baby named "harold" (i know, go figure).

Four year old girl loves the idea of imagination

This book is so great for exploring what one little boy can imagine in one night with one purple crayon. Our daughter has tried to duplicate the drawings with chalk in the driveway. A true classic!

Not as fun as the HBO cartoon

My daughter loves the HBO cartoon, "Harold and the Purple Crayon," so I was really excited about finding this book at Amazon for her. Unfortunately she didn't feel the same way about the book as the HBO cartoon. Still I like having this classic as part of her collection.

Purple Crayons

My son is 23 months old and we love this book. It really is an imaginative story, with wonderful pictures and clever writing.
