Use MS Outlook to Master Your Workday!
This is an excellent manual for those who "live" inside MS
Outlook
, as most corporate users do. Author Michael Linenberger is The Wizard of Outlook and offers thoughtful step-by-step instructions that will help you:
* stay on top of the e
mail
tsunami
* avoid "leakage" of
task
s and assignments that slip through the cracks
* effectively delegate tasks to others
* ....and more!
The tips range from the easy to the involved, but 90% are straightforward. A few more esoteric tips made my eyes glaze over. Investing a few hours to read this book and to implement even HALF of what it recommends will boost your productivity, save you many hours and will help you work smarter, not harder.
Tip: Use these suggestions not just for
total
WORKDAY
control
but see what you can apply to your personal life as well to help it run smoother!

Very Helpful
I've used more than one planner system and several different software tools and I find this approach to be the most helpful and most effective. Michael combines his unique way of
using
Outlook
with the time
management
principles taught by people like David Allen and Stephen Covey to provide an effective approach to time management and personal effectiveness.
Second most lilfechanging book ever
This book is the second most lifechanging book I've ever read. Completely awesome. His system is not overly cumbersome and lightw
eight
enough to be realistic to use every day. Project managers can read the book and learn the system in one afternoon and have your inbox cleared from 800 down to zero by the next day.

Project manager
Superb guideline. Even if you dont follow it line for line.. it distills a
task
mentality in your daily work habits. It causes one to stop and take a moment to plan out the day. If you feel like you have 10 pounds of work in a 5 pound bag then this book will be of great help.
Highly Recommend
After going through this book, I was amazed at the amount of built-in
Outlook
features that I wasn't
using
and how impactful they can be when used to their potential. After reading through this book and implementing the simple recommended changes in Outlook, I immediately noted an increase in my efficiency and productivity and it hasn't been a full week yet! Pick this up - you won't be disappointed.
