"The Third Jesus" - An Insightful Experience

For much of my life early rigid beliefs were accepted because it was the thing to do. However, I silently questioned the validity of the do's and don'ts. As result I pushed them down into the cellar of my mind and got on with life.

Fifty years later the senior years were looming on the horizon. I was at a crossroad - what do "I" believe? I had attended various churches through the years and it seemed to me there was still a continuation of rigid beliefs but to a lesser degree.

Reading Chopra's "The Third Jesus" was a breath of fresh air - a personal renewal for me. In reading and pondering his analyses, interpretations of the sayings, and the life and personality of Jesus - I found myself in agreement. As my spiritual journey continues, this insightful book will draw me back to it time and time again to challenge me to continue to open wider my heart and soul to live the life Jesus wants for me.

Beautiful

This book reminded me of all that is beautifully simple and powerful in the teachings of Jesus. I am inspired by the words all over again. The book helps to separate out the extra stuff that has been added to the teachings. It is well done.

How about a non-Christian point of view?

Let me be very honest. If it was not for this book, I would never in my life time venture to pick up a bible and read verses from or for that matter go to a neighborhood church and sit in and listen to an entire sermon. Now having said that, Deepak's book and hopefully many more to come like that is the catalyst the West Needs to use and connect with the East. Over 300 years of British rule and numerous wars in the last 108 years, have not left a sweet taste in the Eastern man's mouth of the teachings of Jesus in the West. On the contrary all it has done had been validating that the golden rule does not mean anything in practice.
I support Deepak in this cause, as he seems to be the only one who has the energy, god's gift, knowledge and whatever you may call it to conceive, create, publish and promote a book as such in these trying times. Excellent work, peace, Love and Happiness to all!
