Dark of teh Moon
This is a great book. The plot is well developed and hidden from view most of the book.Even when you are sure that you know who the bad guy is there are more startling things to come, and I really like that Fxxxxxx Flowers. Go buy it
That ... Flowers
Should've guessed Mr. Camp would make "That ... Flowers" an off-shoot series. I'll have to pay better attention in the future while reading his Prey series. Great book thus far! I really like laidback dudes with credentials.
Virgil Flowers unplugged!
I have loved the Lucas Davenport series and was interested to this spinoff novel. In this novel its Virgil Flowers who takes center stage and the result is a page turning murder mystery thriller similar to the Davenport novels. Flowers is more down home than Davenport, and does not have Lucas's cutting edge wit, but he holds his own as a likable character. Kind of reminded Me of Jim Rockford from the old Rockford Files TV show in that he likes to stick his finger into the bee hive then stand to the side and see what swarms out. The plot revolves around Flowers being sent to the small town of Bluestem to investigate the murder of a wealthy member of the community who was not well liked by many because of his financial schemes that some say where frauds (he also had bedded more than a few of the town's women folk). The twists and turns are reminiscent of the best Lucas Davenport thriller, so fans of Davenport should not be afraid to give this one a try!

Sandford never lets the reader down
JOhn Sandford isthe one thriller writer who never disappoints the reader - a new main character, a wonderful plot line , a bit of hanky panky to liven up the story - what more could you ask for- read it is one sitting and cannot wait for the next Virgil Flowers adventure
Virgil needs a personality
I'm about 2/3 finished with this book. Virgil is SO BORING in it. Seems to me he had more character in the Davenport books. The story's not moving at all either.
