Great CD!

I loved this musical so much that I had to buy a CD. This musical was one of the funniest musicals I've ever seen.

Great CD/ Great Deal!

Highly recommended- This is the best production that I've seen and heard since the Phantom. The music is wonderful, and it feeds a great story. Amazon's price is incredibly reasonable, especially considering how expensive this is at the show and in stores.

Great, but still a musical soundtrack

This is an excellent recording of the musical. There is also a very minimum of dialogue included, what you have here is pretty much just the songs, which I took as a positive. Some of them, however, are really short sleepers that you pay little attention to in the play.

The great ones, however, are magnificently performed and sound wonderful.

All in all, a good purchase.

Wicked

I didn't much care for the stage show because having been in many shows I could not remember one song to sing after leaving the theater. Than a friend let me listen to the tape and I discovered songs that I could sing, including my new theme song "They Call Me Wonderful". It is a very good CD.

Not So Wicked Anymore

I've never read the book "Wicked" or even seen the actual Broadway play, but I have listened to this version of the musical "Wicked" by Stephen Schwartz and I must say that I have fallen under its spell. There's something powerful about Broadway music that gets me warped in a dizzy spell and I suddenly find myself in an alternate reality where everybody bursts into song and dance numbers. But that's just me, I'm silly that way. Anway, back to "Wicked." I believe that this soundtrack is full of entertainment that can be listened for time and time again. There's something magical about the way that music is portrayed in Broadway musicals and it gets better ever time you listen to it. There are sever songs that I would like to mention that are probably gonna be favorite forever:
"The Wizard and I"
"What Is This Feeling"
"Dancing Through Life"
"Popular"
"One Short Day"
"Defying Gravity"
"Wonderful"
"As Long As You're Mine"
"No Good Deed"
"For Good"

I just absolutely wouldn't know what I would do with myself I haven't found such a passion for some musicals because they bring joy into my life even though some people hate musicals, but I believe they are coming back, and "Wicked" could be the next musical adaptation. I'm very proud of this product and hope that I will continue to be under its spell for a very long time and that you will too, gentle listeners.
