Excellent Product

This thing worked for me right out of the box. Froze the bucket for a couple of days, mixed up some peppermint ice cream ingredients. I used some old candy canes from last Christmas and ran them through my Cuisinart food processor. Poured the liquid stuff in and ran the motor, came back half an hour later and poured in the crushed candy cane. I was thinking I'd need to add some red food coloring in the future, but the coloring of the candy canes turned it bright pink, so no coloring was needed. The stuff is definitely soft when you're done. I might have let it run another 15-20 minutes to firm up just a little more, but leaving it in the freezer for an hour or two firms it up nicely. Yes, the motor is loud, but you can let it run in a room where you don't care about the noise. I suspect it's just because it needs a hi-torque motor to keep it turning after the mixture freezes. I don't care about loud, anyway. You will definitely enjoy this. I don't know why some people are having trouble getting the stuff to freeze. Maybe I/O error.

Perfect

Love it, great little machine, buy a book too, so you can start making your own Ice cream!!!!!!!!!

It was Reconditioned? Looked brand new to me!

I love this ice cream maker! Makes ice cream in 20 minutes, and I know exactly what is in it.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE????

FIRST ATTEMPT: First time to make ice cream and is making Green Tea Ice Cream--recipe from "epicurious.com." Froze ice cream mixing bowl for almost 24 hours. My ice cream did not harden in the ice cream maker after 40 minutes of churning. I think my ice cream mixture was not cold enough so I put the ice mixture back in the refrigerator and the ice cream mixing bowl back in the freezer. Time now is 9:30 p.m.

SECOND ATTEMPT: Early next morning, 5:30 a.m. Churn for 30 minutes and the ice cream was a bit fluffier and thicker, but still not firm enough to be soft serve. Put the ice cream mixture back in the refrigerator and the ice cream mixing bowl back in the freezer.

After two attempts, is the ice cream mixture safe to try again for the third time?

Someone give me some advice.
