This book is inspiring. I recomend it if you want the time to go by fast. It also has a little of everything. its very fun to read! buy it people!

An amazing book

I never new about this book until I saw it in the public library in my town... it looked like a book book so I signed it out and I'm glad I did. It's about a girl named Annabel who had everything until a fall out with a friend. After that her life just kept getting worse and worse but then she meets Owen, a misfit at her school who everyone steers clear of because of his violent reputation. As they grow closer he teaches her to be honest and open about her feelings. With his help Annabel is finally able to talk about what happened the night she lost her best friend.

what can i say except...

This book was amazing. I am by nature FAR less emotional than ever girl I know. I don't get teary-eyed. I don't think that I love the guy I'm with. I don't do the normal teenage girl things but something in this book touched me so deeply that the girl who never cries was balling her eyes out for nearly 20 minutes. I don't know what it was. I don't even know where in the book it started. All I know is that if this book can do that to me it has to be a work of genius.

Surprized!

I am a high school family and consumer sciences teacher. I was "forced" into reading this book for the annual student summer reading list. I will be leading a discussion with students when they return to classes. I picked up the book to get my duty out of the way and lo and behold, I COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN. I personally have three daughters approximately the ages of these sisters, one of my daughters modeled for a time too. Sarah Desen is so in sync with what my daughters and students have discussed with me over the past years. The plot takes many of the plights of teens and brings them into the casual conversation that teens encounter all the time in the US. I was so taken by the characters I would acutally like to see a sequel book picking up a few years down the road. Is Whitney cured? Does Kirsten persue film? Where does Annabel go from here? A great read.

im always pleased with her books, and this was no exception, she is an amazing writer and ive never been disspointed by anything ive read by her. not my favorite, but worth reading
