One of the All Time Best

This is clearly the best book I have read this year and is definitely one of the all time best I have ever read. Everyone should read this book. The story of Greg Mortenson is one that all should treasure. His energy, enthusiasm and passion are extraordinary. Our political leaders should have his kind of understanding of dealing with different cultures.

If you only read one book this year, it should be this one.

In a world of uncertainty where we're spending more time teaching our children (and each other) how to hate and fear, this book shines a ray of hope down to spotlight one man who's proof of Margaret Mead's words:

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

For the last decade and a half Greg Mortenson has been building schools in Pakistan, slowly and steadily proving to the Muslims in this region that not all Americans are bad. He believes education is the key to bridging gaps and building friendships and so far he's been proven right. It's an inspiring tale of how one man with and dream and enough drive can change the world for the better.

Good Information

The book is excellent. It gives insight to the living conditions and culture of the people living in those back countries and what we Americans can do to help them in a powerful and lasting way.

Supurb storytelling of a true story about a committed man

Totally enjoyable story about a man with heart for childrens education that resulted in healthy releationships building peace between cultures as an ultimate step to world peace.

I am devastated that this book is over. It was by far the best book I have read in a very long time, if not ever. It left me laughing and crying and has changed my point of view on so many things.
