I always thought I was too fat and was constantly dieting or overeating. What a great idea to have actual photos of REAL girls, big and small. I gave the book to my 16 year old daughter and she was embarrassed. I haven't asked her what she thinks but I know how much it would have meant to me to have photos like that to reassure me that my body wasn't hideously ugly. The health tips are all sound information too (I am an internal medicine doctor so I appreciated that aspect of the book as well).  for more information click here Every girl and every woman should read this book! There is so much misinformation and lack of knowledge about our bodies--no wonder we're embarrassed. And we shouldn't be. This book sets out to remedy that problem by celebrating the wonderful bodies that carry us through life, in all their glorious diversity. A very user-friendly, informative book for teenage girls. Lots of pictures and excellent descriptions make this an easy book to understand. Issues that teens worry about on a regular basis are addressed in a straight-forward, non-offensive manner. Highly recommend this. Great Book! I read about this book, saw the reviews and decided to get it for my daughters to have on hand for when they "Come of age". The day I recived this book, I read it cover to cover, and I must admit, I learned a few things myself at the tender age of 36. I took it on a "Women's Weekend" to see what other moms thought of it, and everyone loved it. We all laughed, pondered, and all agreed that it is a must have book. I'm sure Ms. Redd had a few more sales after that weekend.
