Would Buy Again

I was very happy with this book and found it helpful and easy to read. I didn't really like the size of the book, it was a bit of a struggle to keep it open comfortably, but oh well.

I wouldn't say that it has saved me a ton of money or anything, I mostly liked it because of the reviews and tips. I liked the way they reviewed products, more personal and based on other parents experiences rather than just the basics and facts(Consumer Reports style). So I found it very interesting to read, with or without saving money.

If I were just looking to save money I probably wouldn't have been as happy with it, simply because most of the things they said to skip I would have anyway... basically I guess alot of that type of information seems like common sense to me, or I have read it somewhere else. So it was more of the tips they had, and the details on the different companies, products, things to consider, etc. that I found so helpful. Depending on what type of person or shopper you are, I can see how this would save you a ton of money, or nothing at all. But it is helpful if you are iffy about something, I found this book helped me make a decision one way or another.

I have glanced through a couple of similar books, one I thought was just horrible, and the others were pretty good... but none of them seemed as good as this one. I really enjoyed reading this one. Definitely for the price I think it was worth it. I read the entire thing, but occasionally check back on things.

Best baby stuff book...ever

This is the most complete resource on buying baby stuff. I can't begin to explain how much excellent information is contained within this book. For example, there is even a quick reference guide on which brands of baby clothes are most durable and which ones fall apart in the wash (and how to tell if the garment is pre-washed or if it will shrink). I also found that most, if not all, of the recommended products received strong marks from consumer reports, which made me feel good about the recommendations. If you are a first time mom, you definitely need this book.

I cannot say enough about how necessary this book is for all expecting parents. I feel so confident and educated due to this book when it comes to the items that I needed to spend my money on. A must have for everyone.

Great reviews

I think I have mostly used this book for reviews of products. I haven't been disappointed yet. I think it is a must for every new mom-to-be. I wish I would've bought it when I first found out I was pregnant (before I registered for gifts) because being a new mom I had no idea what items I reaaly needed and which were the best. I ended up returning a lot of the items I registered for to buy the top rated items. Would have saved me some trouble to have it sooner.

Baby things get very expensive, I'm a first time mom, so I bought this book to help and guide me through the jungle of buying and registering for baby items, This was a true lifesaver! They got into more detail than Consumer Reports and really tell it like it is. I'm a big advocate of reusing or recycled items, so baby consignment shops were a big area to look into if you want to save a bunch of money. Also [...] is really where the bargains are! I passed this book on to my friends to help them too.
