A Surprising Little Gem
Initially, I resisted buying this
doll
because of the expense. Any doll over fifty bucks had better be one fantabulous toy. But then I found one at the red bullseye store on Christmas Eve for less than half the listed price here. I had already purchased the Chou Chou
Mommy
Make Me Better doll because it, too, is somewhat interactive, my 4 year old daughter fancies herself a doctor, and it was only about twenty bucks. However, as soon as I spotted the bullseye deal, I caved to the image of seeing my daughter's face on Christmas morning when she received TWO interactive dollies.
Even though I have never been a gal who cared two bits for dolls, I can understand my daughter's enchantment with this toy. She easily learned her name (only took two tries & it was quick - just remember to go someplace quiet to record it), and she (the doll) is willing to 'play' as long as my daughter wants. She doesn't cry (which I am grateful for since the Chou Chou doll cries) and she doesn't wet anything. Personally, I don't get the appeal of having a doll that wets its diapers, but then again, I did state that I am not a doll person. Another plus is that the doll's voice is not creepy at all - a HUGE plus in the book of someone who was creeped out by dolls as a child.
Anyhow, the doll does exactly as the package claims: she talks, she responds to her name, she plays peek-a-boo, asks for her teddy bear and her bottle, will announce when she's sleepy & will ask for her blankie and go to sleep. Plus, she seems
real
ly durable (if not somewhat mechanical inside) & she has an ON/OFF switch. Can't ask for more than truth in advertising!

Adorable Doll & So worth every penny
My daughter received this
doll
as a Christmas gift. Finally a doll that lives up to the price you pay. It is cute, Moves well , interacts and has the cutest voice. My daughter has not gone anywhere with out her new
baby
. Last year we had to get her "baby alive" The face on that still scares me. I was so glad when she picked out this doll to love. I highly recommend it to any parent thinking about buying it for their
little
girl.
Love this doll!
My 4 year old daughter got this
baby
for Christmas and hasn't put it down yet! It's a very cute baby and it does everything that it is supposed to do. The only problem that we had was trying to program her name, my daughter didn't say it exactly the same way each time and it wouldn't accept it. It says that the person using the
doll
should be the one to say her name, but I ended up programming it using my voice for her name and it works fine, it still recognizes when my daughter says the name. VERY CUTE and well worth the money!

Little Mommy Baby Doll
I bought the
Little
Mommy
Baby
Doll
for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas because she
real
ly wanted it. My daughter loves the doll and cares for her like she was her own baby. The doll is not really educational except it could teach your child a little about caring for a real baby. The doll has worked well since we got her and seems to be durable. You can program the doll to respond to her name. The doll has realistic movements and her voice is pleasant like a little toddlers. The doll has various phrases that she says and certain movements associated with them. The doll is interactive and asks for her blanket or teddy bear that are included, plays peek-a-boo, says, "I love you", etc. Even my 1 year old daughter is interested in the doll. Overall, the doll is a worthwhile toy to buy for a child.

Disappointed mom & 4 yr. old
Our 4 yr. old received this
doll
for Christmas and both
mommy
and daughter are disappointed. We should have heeded other reviews. My daughter became frustrated after about the 6th try in naming her new doll. My daughter is not soft spoken and even tried stating the new name rather loudly after several other attempts at a normal voice. No success. Mom finally had to name the doll therefore it does not respond to my daughter's voice.
Also, it is tricky trying to get the magnets placed properly in the dolls hand in order to get her to drink her bottle, hold the bear and play peek a boo with the blanket. If it is tricky for mom, a 4yr. old will surely struggle- and does. Needless to say, this Christmas gift is not a winner at all and I would not recommend the doll, especially for anyone younger than say 6yrs. old.
