So much for so little
If you are buying a Kindle and are new at the game, this is a worthwhile investment. It gives you all sorts of information you may not pick up on from the Kindle Users Guide. It has the bonus of regular updates on the Kindle and the promise of a no-cost copy of the finished book when it is published later this year [2008]. You also can get a bunch of links to interesting Kindle websites. I have had my Kindle for about 2 weeks now and find it worth every penny I spent on it. It works just as advertised and is extremely practical. This guide got me started right from the beginning; explaining features I would still not have known about if I had depended solely on the Kindle Users Guide. If you are wondering whether to go ahead and buy the Kindle, I urge you to take the plunge. Just be sure to add this article to the order!
A Newbie who Loved it
This is only four stars because I'm waiting eagerly for the rest of the book. I have had my kindle now for about three weeks...and love it! But I found the manual that came with the unit a little thin on info for actually using it. This article showed me several tricks that I use now, and I am looking forward to getting more time to explore the email aspects, along with reading the complete book. It was worth the small investment to help me get the most out of the Kindle, especially since some of the finer points weren't readily available in the included documentation. I say it's worth every penny.
Looking forward to the full book!
This is an excerpt from an upcoming publication. You will get the complete thing for free as an upgrade if you purchase now. It has a few tips that were worthwhile for me. I really wanted to know the time as I was reading. Now I know how.
OK article
This article was somewhat helpful on the subject, but it lacked step by step instructions on how to do some things. It was mostly external links to websites with information explaining most of the things that the author does not.Good for a person lacking experience, but not for anyone else.
