Not Really Revolutionary
I have read McTaggart's well researched book, The
Intention
Experiment
and I applaud her for her extensive research. Her research has been taught at the Ramtha School of Enlightenment, an academy of the mind for over 20 years. The experiments McTaggart is utilizing are nothing new because they are a spin-off of Ramtha's disciplines. However, I am giving her 5 stars due to her research and by placing the idea of 'intention' into the minds of people. We do create our inner
world
by our intent, our thought and our follow-through or not following through into becoming our outer world. The What the Bleep movie that swept the world was birthed in the Ramtha School of Enlightenment. I know because I was at the event when Ramtha told the three primary people to film it.
Life
is filled with choices and it is up to each of us to choose our
thoughts
and the words we use. Bettye Johnson, author, Secrets of the Magdalene Scrolls, Independent Publisher Award Winner 2006.

Intention is Key to Your Success in Life, Health, Love
Lynne McTaggart has written an important book on the power of
intention
, its role in manifestation of both material and etheric outcomes, and she has provided the reader with a great deal of scientific proof both through her documentation in the book and through the ongoing
experiment
s that are being conducted through her website.
An important aspect of this book is the part that hasn't been written yet, the experimental part. The author has a website that is available to anyone who'd like to participate in group consciousness/prayer intention sessions on various topics. After a scheduled Group Intention Session has occurred, a scientist or a group of scientists try to evaluate whether the combined intention of many people has created a
change
in a situation or condition. I suspect that determining whether the experiment is a success may not be possible right after the session either because the change is occurring at a molecular level, it hasn't occurred yet, or that it's being observed, thus changed.
I question the value of trying to prove anything, now that concepts such as the Newtonian approach to the basic of
life
that we believed to be rock solid, are crumbling in the sand these days. In addition, one of the key elements of quantum physics is that the observation of an event changes the event, so again, proving anything on a quantum level is pretty shaky stuff.
Beyond the author's attempts to prove what has already been demonstrated at least anecdotally, I liked the book. If you would enjoy participating in experiments on the validity of group consciousness, you will probably love this book.
On an entirely positive note, I agree entirely with the author's conclusions and I feel that Lynn has written a very good book that will be most enjoyable for readers who have a strong scientific bias, and who enjoy the experimental aspects of this book/website.

A Gift
I purchased this book after reading many reviews on it and I liked what I read. I am rating this book in the middle only because a rating is required. I had originally purchased this book for myself, however my nephew at 18 years of age came to visit and I thought the book would serve him better. He is a sweet kid, but has sort of an "in the box" way of thinking and looking at
life
and also has many fear based ideas and emotions. He has also suffered from anxiety/panic attacks over the past several years. He has been on medications in the past and has also seen therapist. From the reviews I read, I hope this book will enlighten him and open him up to the ideas of "thinking outside the box" and how powerful and useful "
thoughts
" can be and how they can
change
his life for the better. Maybe this book will also lead him to other books in this genre. Thank you to all of the reviewers who help making the purchase process more fine tuned to what a reader is really looking for.
