A fantastic and well-focused thriller
Sandford is again in fine form in this twisted thriller. How JS keeps the reader so focused and engrossed in the plot is a wonder, but the effectiveness of his description and the power of the characters is never in doubt.
Davenport is of course the cop on the trail of the serial killer, but whilst this may all sound very ordinary, it is the way the characters and the plot seem so real that makes this book stand out.
If you are looking for the ultimate thriller book, this has to be it.
Edge of your bed reading
An almost perfect suspense book. With the likeable Davenport at his human best and a villain as real as the six o clock news, this one will linger in the dark. There is also a beautiful secondary mystery which is solvable with due consideration. Well done JS

Great mystery!!!
A very good mystery. A serial killer's obsession with a beautiful woman produces really gruesome murders. The way Davenport goes about getting his man is well written. I also liked how the secondary murder was solved
