The Dark of the Moon

This is a 5 star book, as are all of John Sanford's novels. I own and have read them all and buy them as soon as they are published. His plots are exciting and his characters are believable, but I prefer Lucas Davenport to Virgil Flowers. I would recommend any of Sanford's books.

Flowers blooms

I hope we see more of the Virgil Flowers series. The plot was complicated, but not so complicated that my interest was lost. Virgil Flowers approaches his investigations differently than Lucas Davenport. It's almost as if Virgil orbits around the periphery of the situation, occasionally planting a seed and waiting for the seed to germinate. It's refreshing, compared to the hard charging Davenport.

Overall, an excellent book, as usual from Mr. Sandford.

I am a huge Sandford fan and have read all of his books. Unfortunately Virgil Flowers doesn't come across to me the way Lucas Davenport does. Good but not great.
