amazing program

I have always used a pc and was nervous about making the switch to mac. This program is so much better and so much eaiser to use than the windows version. you can customize your interface to use only what you need rather than always have to use those navigation windows with the pc version. You can customize your toolbars for your frequently used functions, it's great. don't be scared. buy it.

Good not great.

As a start up business I was looking for an accounting solution that would run on the IMAC. The only product that appeared to have all the features we were looking for was QB Pro 2007 for Mac.

I will say that the 30 day free telephone callback is great. The accent from India was a bit hard to understand sometimes but those folks did an excellent job overall. Too bad the software is not more intuitive and help screens are so poor that I had to call support nearly everyday.

The QB community and forum has been very helpful so far too.

One item that QB does not seem to address is Sales Tax adjustments. My State like many others with a State Sales Tax offers a discount for a timely payment. Several postings on the forums have work arounds that they feel might do the trick but I did not buy this software to have to rethink or trick the software to handle such a simple mundane task.

Time will tell if I should have purchased a PC based product to run on the I-MAC or just lowered myself to purchase a dedicated PC to run a PC based accounting package.

Quickbooks 2007 for Mac

Quickbooks 07 runs a bit slower than QB 6 on my IBook G4. This is especially true when going back through previously created invoices. Menus have been moved around, which requires a bit of getting used to. Overall, still a great product.

Disappointing

Quicken for Mac works so well. It is disappointing that Quickbooks for Mac does not download bank information as well. Many banks, including Commerce, do not support Quickbooks. The good news is that I can download bussiness bank information into Quicken then import it to Quickbooks. The downside is that it replaces the Quickbooks file completely each time.
