Watching bigger kids helps

My daughter wanted to watch this video everyday while she was potty training. I think it really helped to see kids who already knew how to go potty. It reinforces proper technique for wiping and hand washing with catchy little songs that we still find ourselves singing. I thought it was great.

Potty time good fun!

The kids all liked this! The neighbors' kids liked this! No, it's not rocket science but the kids liked the songs and their interest was obtained. It shows little girls going potty and little boys going potty. This video doesn't replace potty training. It's an additional tool. I don't agree with the negative reviews. I think they expected too much from a video. Show this in conjunction with a book and positive reinforcements and you're on your way!

I was a 2 year old teacher and when we would play the video for the kids they loved it. It would have such a positive affect that at least 2 kids out of 18 children would want to try to potty. It enforced older ones who would be lazy to keep up.
So when I became a mother I made sure from my experince as a teacher I would have this on hand. I played it for my children and it worked. We called the movie the "crazy man video." I lent it to my friends and their children loved it.
Key to potty training is wait until they are ready and not to push or they will not show any interest. My son took a few weeks and my daughter a day. Now I begin with my secound daughter to introduce the potty. Because they were ready. Don't expect the video to do the job for you. It only shows them from a kids point of veiw. Kids relate to kids.
