Avid Imus Family Fan

"Green This" has so many great and easy tips for turning everyday cleaning green. The book is awesome and so is the Imus family, as all of the after tax money from the purchase of this book go to the Imus Ranch (a working cattle ranch for kids with cancer). Deirdre, Don and Wyatt Imus personally host the children each summer, giving them a true ranch experience and all free of charge. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to change to a safe/non-toxic way to clean and in turn help the Imus Ranch with it's wonderful program.

Great Green Cleaning!

I found this book to be full of very helpful information! I love the way she breaks down by room and has so many specific definitions for all the toxic chemicals we use. My only criticism is that there is no comprehensive recipe list for the homemade cleaning solutions. I wish there was a list in the back that had every recipe you need for home cleaning. Rather, she has them within the paragraph in each chapter. It makes it tough to go back and fine or copy for future use.

Overall, I loved the book and made some big changes in my home as a result. My son's asthma has disappeared!

Go Green

I've been using more eco-friendly products for a few years now - it just made sense to use less chemicals in the home. However, this is the first book that I've read that explains some of the hazards of traditional cleaning products. It's eye-opening and further incentive to transition completely to "green products" and also make some of my own.

I sometimes feel like the content jumps around a bit and could be better organized; however, I'm encouraged to share what I've learned with family and friends in hopes that they can lower their exposure to toxic chemicals at home.

"Greening the Cleaning" really helpful

I have always been somewhat skeptical of using "green" products for cleaning---and some I have actually used in the past have not been as good as the regular products available. However, Deirdre Imus has written a very useful, well-organized overall review of products already in the home that can be used for "green cleaning" Green This! Volume 1: Greening Your Cleaning (Green This!). I have discovered that white vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda and salt, in various combinations can do a wonderful job of cleaning in bathrooms and kitchens, for example. Because I became acquainted with her on her husband's talk show, I was willing to buy Deirdre's book and am pleased that I did so.

Green this!!!!! JUST DO IT

Excellent infofmation contained in this book...I learned many new ideas to use in my house to keep it toxic free. Would recommend this book to anyone who wants to change the way they live.
