Another Great Oster

This blender replaced another Oster that lasted twenty years, and we like the new one even better. The metal to metal drive really makes a difference in longevity, and the wide jar is easy to use.

Spin Baby Spin

I just got the Oster 6684 12-Speed Blender, Black today along with the Oster Milkshake Blade Blender Accessory 6670 and as with any new kitchen toy have tried it out on a number of things. I throughly enjoy the Oster 6684 12-Speed Blender, Black and think we are going to have a long happy, culinary relationship together.

Powerful, but sometimes hard to seat properly.

Makes quick work of ice & other drink mixers. But it sometimes doesn't seat completely on the motor. it will still work, but makes a wretched noise. Just jiggle a little and it goes away. good value otherwise.

Blend Away

I am enjoying my new blender. I use it for making shakes and pureeing soups. It fulfills my needs very well.The thing I like best about it is that the pitcher is glass which allows for easy cleaning. It is a bit shorter than my previous blender and fits easily on the counter beneath the cabinets. A very satisfactory purchase.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR

This is a very loud blender. If it were used in a workplace, I bet OSHA regulations would require hearing protection. I have to step out of the kitchen or my ears ring afterwards. Seriously. Also, it's a little tricky to put in the blade assembly exactly right and then put the bowl onto the base exactly right -- and if you don't, you'll get a loud grinding sound accompanied by the wonderful smell of melting plastic. One good thing is that the bowl is relatively squat and low, so it can fit under countertops and on shelves better than most. Overall, this blender does the job and it's relatively inexpensive but it's just not a very well made piece of machinery.
