Keep A Leash on Those Convicts
Two bank robbers are taken out in a gunfight by the Minneapolis Police Department. A relative of theirs who is allowed to attend the funeral while on leave from prison escapes. His intention is pure revenge against the police officers responsible for the killings. All of the cops involved and their families seem to be targets. Deputy Chief of the Minneapolis Police Department, Lucas Davenport, leads the investigation. The convict seeking revenge has really done his homework. He knows who was involved in the bank killings and who their family members are. This is no easy case for the Police. An exciting action packed story set in the Twin Cities that really kept me reading to the end. Sandford is a truly talented writer.

Absolutely Awesome!
This is definitely the best book in the
Prey
series! Simply fantastic -- a well crafted, well executed thriller. I wish all the Prey books were as good as this one -- this really is the best of them all.
finally, revenge!
FInally a boook that let the bad guys get some revenge! Although I was rooting for lucas and the good guys I thought the story line was excellent. Most books the bad guys alwaya get caught before they have a chance to kill anyone and in this one sandford let LaChaise and his friends kill a couple of people before they got caught. I really enjoyed this book .

Good thriller, moves along at a fast pace, terribly biased
I am a woman who recently read this thriller and while I enjoyed it, I was amazed that such a distinguished writer would so radically typecast his criminal characters... they were all hunters, or went to gun shows, or were friendly with gun dealers and I was terribly offended by this characterization. Shame on your Mr. Sandford. Criminals are as diverse as stars in the galaxy and come from all backgrounds.
