Great grill!

I purchased this grill as a replacement for my Grill 2 Go that I have had for years and really liked. I was wanting a grill for tailgating at football games and also for when we go camping. I did alot of research and the Weber Q seem to be winner almost every time. I have had the grill for almost 2 months now and it has not dissappointed.

The things I really like about it is the fact that your actually grilling on an open flame vs the pan style that you get with the grill 2 go or the coleman road trip. Did some of the best steaks I've ever had on it. Also the clean up is very easy, just take a grill brush to grates when your done and empty the grease tray. Plus it's just the perfect size, I have limited space to haul it to the tailgate, but have to cook for atleast 6 people when we get there, and it does it with room to spare.

The only problem I had was getting the electric starter to work. But I found that if I keep the lid down while I'm trying to lite it, it usually works fine.

I'm very happy with the grill...weber makes a great product.

Great portable grill

This is a great portable grill. It's large and heavy for camping but if you need the cooking surface area this is the way to go. Great tempature control and fairly easy cleanup.

Weber Q 220 -- Great for small spaces

The BBQ is great, cooks really well, grill marks and all. 12k btu don't seem much but it delivers a great punch and does cook thoroughly everything you throw at it. We have a small patio, no other BBQ could fit this one leave some room to move. The great advantage is that I can take it on the road, camping and tailgating. The base we bought with it does hold a 20 pounds gas tank and it look like a real BBQ, We can use also 14on propane cans while on the road. It was well worth the investment. With all the parts you hit 300$ easily but overall I don't regret a thing.

Nice product but no replacement for a full size

This is a great product if you really need the portability but if you get the cart and tank looking for a more permanent grill, you may be better off buying the 300 or Spirit Series. These offer dual burners and more surface area for better temp control and indirect grilling. My Weber Q also is very temperamental when starting with the full size tank - it often trips the regulator which restricts gas flow. After almost returning it, I discovered that if you turn the gas on VERY VERY slowly you can usually avoid this - a bit of a hassle though for a $300 setup.

Weber Q 220

I bought this to replace an old Weber charcoal grill we've been using to tailgate for 15 yrs. With the kids and time constraints, the charcoal just got to be too much.
I'm very happy I made the switch. Grill heats up fast and provides an even temperature and gets hot enough to grill anything we need. Very sturdy construction and common sense design which is what I expect from Weber and why you pay a bit more for this. But, it's well worth it. Having it available in Red & Black is perfect for the Rutgers games. GO RU!!!
