More Spam Please

Spamalot was hilarious when I saw it in London and again in Portland, OR. This soundtrack has everything from marching band to Gregorian chant to gospel to lounge lizard. These performers do a great job doing a parody of every style while still representing the style pretty accurately. They are quite talented. If you like musicals or if you hate musicals, this is one to listen to again and again.

This one is worth the price of the CD

Often I write: "You have to see the show to enjoy the CD" but this CD is one of a few Broadway soundtracks that even if you are remotely familiar with Monte Python, you will enjoy no matter what.
Classic stuff gleaned from the troupe's "Holy Grail," "Spamalot" is a winner! This CD is really really funny with catchy tunes that you will hum along to again and again... "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life!"

Just too funny!

I went to the touring production of Spamalot at a difficult time in my life and it made me laugh hysterically for 2 solid hours. The CD does the same thing. The songs are a mix of familiar Monty Python tunes and new catchy songs that you will find yourself humming and smiling over. "The song that goes like this" and others are extremely witty, as you would expect from Eric Idle, and the "Lady of the Lake and her Laker Girls" can't help but make you laugh. Even if you haven't seen Spamalot on stage this CD is a must-have to brighten your day.

I wish it were the whole soundtrack

I enjoy musicals and this one was fun when we saw it in Denver. This CD captures all the songs nicely. I always wished CDs were available with the whole show's soundtrack and not just the songs.
