Excellent

An eye-opening, compassionate and very honest look at the way many people with chronic illness choose to approach life in order to make it a life worth living. Not for childish, immature or me-centered people. Its message changed me, for the better. Thank you, Mr. Cohen!

Getting in touch

Cohen's literary ease drew me in right from the beginning; I had a hard time putting it down. Vibrant descriptions of five people's lives. What I like about it is the author's honesty and willingness to put himself in the spotlight and his feelings about who he is writing about. He gets into the nitty gritty of denial, fear and anger (and how it can be helpful). Just a warning, have the tissue handy!

Strong In The Broken Places

This is a very powerful book. The subject matter is sometimes difficult to deal with, but the open honesty and emotions you will see and feel are amazing. Mr. Cohen has done a awesome amount of research and soul searching to gather the information in his book, and has the ability to bring you right into the situations the people are facing. All the wonderful people who participated in this this book are courageous, strong and filled with love, in order to be able to share what they are going through. After reading this book, I now not only thank the Lord for what he has given me, but also for what he has not given me. Andrew Wolf

I thought this book was very good reading. It makes me glad that all I have is Multiple Sclerosis. I intend to pass it on to others in my support group.
