One of my favorites
I first bought this
cookbook
in 1985, on the weekend that Live Aid was aired. I know this because I always write the date purchased in my books. I have used this cookbook so often that the pages have started to fall out. When it was reissued last year, I was delighted. I bequethed my old edition to my daughter (this is the cookbook she grew up with and it has recipe notations in all the borders!) and continue to use my new one to make all the old favorites. In addition to the great recipes it has the best descriptions and explanations of any cookbook I have ever read. Nothing seems too complicated to make and everything I have ever made from it have turned out great.

The Frog Commissary Cookbook
A real classic of a
cookbook
. I have used this book so much that I have worn out the pages. The stuffed pistachio chicken breasts with the herb-garlic cheese filling is great, but I have used just the cheese filling for parties. I just roll it in chopped nuts and it is delicious.
Just bought this book
I just bought this cook book last week and I really like it. So far, I've made the Chicken Satay (I can now throw away all my other peanut sauce recipes, and just use this one - it is perfect!), the Curried Walnuts, and the Oatmeal-Peanut Butter Cookies (I used "craisins" instead of raisins). All three have been great, and there are lots of other recipes I can't wait to try.

Best chocolate chip cookie recipe, ever
I bought this book purely because of its recipe for Oatmeal Walnut Chocolate Chip cookies. It's a smash hit every time I bake them - even my mom, who's not much of a cookie person, and my cousins who are all trying to stick to their weight-watchers diets, falter when I bake these cookies. Around Christmastime, they are gone in a flash. Absolutely delicious.
The
cookbook
itself also has tons of great ideas, some really nice recipes. In my experience, it's good to modify some of the recipes to use more current cooking methods. For example, the book's authors are not too big on olive oil, which is a staple in most cooking today.

Fabulous food and fun to read
Several years ago, I had heard this book had gone out of print and I let out a cry of anguish. So it was with delight that I later learned (after a frantic call to The
Frog
Commissary
in Philadelphia) that the book was to be reprinted. Now, it's available for everyone who missed it the first time around to discover and enjoy as I have. This is without a doubt the most reliably excellent
cookbook
I own. Anything I have ever prepared from this book has been wonderfully delicious and has become a standard in my cooking repertoire. I would (and have!) wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone.
