Irresistible page-turner

"Flipped" is a fresh, irresistible read. It not only allows you to see the same scenario with two completely different point of views, but it also bursts with hilarious, intriguing situations that really gets you hooked. It is impossible to put "Flipped" down once you have started reading it!

It all started in the second grade. The first time Juli saw Bryce at age seven, she was in love until the eigth grade. Suddenly, She begins to see him for who he really is. From second grade until the middle school, Bryce had been running away from his obsessed stalker and scoffing at her quirks. But then everything changes, and all Bryce wants to do is to be with Juli. But she turns from him.
The end of the novel leaves you hanging at the edge of your seat. Will Juli give Bryce a second chance? Who has flipped?

I Flipped Over This Book!

Flipped is the first time I have ever read where an author lets you see the same story from two perspectives. Bryce thinks Juli is an annoying brat destined to make a fool of herself. Meanwhile, Juli feels that Bryce needs protecting and places herself in positions to ease him pain from his mistakes. The neighbors grow up and finally realize that the person across the street is not who they thought they were. You will not regret purchasing this novel.

Flipped

Knowing a person from the outside isn't really knowing them. But knowing a person from the inside is truly knowing them.

This book alternates chapters between two teenagers who lived across the street from each other for almost ten years. At school and at home Bruce avoids Juli ever since they moved to the neighborhood when he was in the 1st grade. Bruce finally overcomes his fear of Juli by some events that led hem to realize who Juli really was in the inside. The throwing away eggs, gardening, and the Basket Boy event at school all were things that led Bruce to realize who Juli really was.

My favorite part in this story is when the time came to cut down the big Sycamore tree and the stubborn Juli won't get down from the tree.

The theme of this book is how some families or people live right across the street from each other and are strangers to each other. Except for the weak theme, this book is full of interesting characteristics of the characters which makes the reader want to read on to learn more about them.

This book is important to read for those who avoid somebody without getting to know them from the inside.

Flipped

Flipped is a must read for everyone! See both sides of the story through Juli and Bryce's eyes as they grow up being classmates and neighbors. With Juli the high spirited girl and Bryce the shy boy, you will see what both are thinking about life and each other.

A Flipped Story

Flipped is a great book that I would recommend to anyone to read! It is about a girl named Juli and a boy named Bryce who lives across the street from each other. Wendelin Van Draanen writes the book so Juli and Bryce are the narrators and they each tell their side of the story. The book is about their lives mostly in 8th grade and all the conflicts they have with each other. It is very funny and a great read.

The story starts out when Bryce and Juli are just seven years old and Bryce moves into Juli's neighborhood. Juli falls in love with Bryce and the story goes on from there. The first chapter where Bryce is speaking starts out like this "All I've ever wanted is for Juli Baker to leave me alone." The second chapter is Juli talking and the first thing she says is "The first day I met Bryce Loski, I flipped." Because of this conflict you never know what is going to happen next!

The book is funny because of Juli and Bryce's totally opposite views about each other and different things. If they are talking about the same thing you would never know because they look at everything differently. This is one of the reasons I love this book. The writing style gives the book so much more style than a regular writing style would give to the book. It is so exciting because of this.

Flipped is a great book that you can not put down. You will want to be reading it until you have finished. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs a funny, sad, exciting, and breathtaking book to read all at once. I love Flipped and I guaranty you will to. You will always want to know what happens next. It is a great book and you haft to read it!
