A Fantastic Resource for Home and School

I have had the pleasure of reading 10 Days to a Less Defiant Child. This book is a packed with many valuable suggestions and tools. I have both the perspective of being a parent and a school administrator. Dr. Bernstein's program helps parents and teachers build relationships that truly lessen defiant behavior in children and teens. I only wish that I and others had access to this book years ago. Dr. Bernstein's approach shows how to keep defiant children accountable while keeping parents and teachers out of the mess of power struggles. This book is easy to read and chock full of fantastic, true to life examples. I have been encouraging my friends and colleagues to read this book and I encourage you to do the same.

An excellent book

Very informative and helpful: 10 Days to a Less Defiant Child is a gem. This book is not only easy to read but also easy to understand and apply. I was blown away by how this ten day program really helped me respond differently to my teenage daughter. More amazing was how she sensed the difference in my new approach and she changed her tune, for the better. Dr. Bernstein's suggestions have really helped make our home an enjoyable place to be again. I highly encourage all frustrated, almost burnt out parents of defiant children and teens to give this book a try. I am sure glad I did.

A highly valuable, practical book

Dr. Bernstein has really put together a fantastic program to lower defiant behavior. My wife and I are thrilled with the tools we have learned to better manage our children. Book on defiant child.

I sent this book to my sister. She says that in some ways it has been helpful, but her own situation with her defiant child is unique, as each is, and not all the advice has been helpful or workable.
