We wouldn't buy anything but Britax

This is our second Britax car seat. We started with a Roundabout which we still use in my husband's truck. We upgraded our infant seat in my car (Pontiac Vibe) to the Marathon and it is wonderful. My daughter instantly loved it. We still have her riding backwards at 21pounds, which means we have to be a little careful putting her in only because there isn't a lot of room between the top of the car door frame and the seat but once we got the hang of it putting her in is great. She is very comfortable in the seat and rides well. We have already had to adjust the harness size due to a growth spurt. The adjustment was easy and quick. We would definately encourage others to buy as the whole family likes the seat and Britax safety record is great.

Great Car Seat

This car seat installed solidly into 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee using the LATCH system. However, it did not install as well using the seat belt in our 1997 Saturn SL1. It also worked great when it was installed (forward facing because it would not fit rear facing) in an airplane seat. Overall, I think that it is a very easy seat to install pretty much anywhere.

BEST seat EVER!

We bought the Marathon for our first daughter and another for our second daughter without a thought. We have loved them both! When we had our third child, we got an Evenflo Triumph as a gift and figured it was rated as well for safety so we'd just use that. It doesn't even compare! We ended up buying yet another Marathon. They install easily, clean up like a dream (instructions say hand wash, but I do it in the machine on delicate and then hang to dry) and all 3 of my kiddos are very comfortable in them. My 4 year old still fits in it well, so I feel it's money well spent. When compared to the Evenflo, the installation is better, seat buckles work nicer, the straps are MUCH thicker and don't tangle.. we ended up using the Evenflo in Grandma's car... where we still hate it!
It's understandable to hesitate at the initial cost... but all these great reviews add up to the fact that it's well worth it. And the fact that you can use these seats for so long makes it nice. If we have a 4th child, we'll probably get a 4th Britax. :) We love these seats! Worth every penny!

baby+carseat=britax...

i just started using this marathon for a week now for my almost 2 year old daughter, she already outgrew her britax roundabout that she had since she was 4 months, and just like the roundabout, it's so easy to set up, my baby looks comfy and happy, helps mom fasten her belt, easily sleeps and stay asleep on it, no problems at all. it would be nice if its cheaper but really- you cant put a price on your child's safety and comfort. thats why when amazon had it on sale at 249 with free shipping, i bought it right away.

Fantastic and easy to install

Rated as one of the safest child car seats and it is extremely easy to install in a car or move to another vehicle. Instead of having the traditional latches to anchor the seat, it has modified latches with easy releases and pull straps to tighten it down.
