Works as Advertised, Fast Delivery

Downloaded the driver for Windows Vista from the Keyspan Webste as instructed on the package. After installation I hooked my Garmin eTrex Legend GPS and it was immediately able to communicate with the computer. Product worked as advertised, I am pleased with it. Free Super Saving Shipping took only nine days to deliver to Hawaii, not bad at all.

Adapter rocks!

I used this adapter with a serial Blood Glucose meter. My computer only had USB ports. The software that came with it installed without a hitch and I have VISTA Ultimate on my PC. The software that came with the blood glucose meter was able to connect with the serial adapter and then with the USB port to access the data in the meter. It all went without any difficulties. I would really recommend this product!

It just works!

Afetr reading the horror stories about problems with USB to Serial adapters, I purchased this one as it has the most positive reviews. What can I say -- it just works as advertised!!! No issues at all with Windows Xp and Vista Home Premium.

Works with Vista and RS Linx

Finally an adapter that works. USB to serial adapters sometimes work, and sometimes they don't. This one works. I use it for industrial communications between PLC's and a Windows Vista machine. Installed the software and it worked first time. Used with Rockwell Software RS Linx version 2.53. It also works well with other applications like Rice Lake Scales and the Datataker DL800. I'll be buying a couple more.

I also purchased a Cablestogo adapter (the blue one sold here on Amazon). It did not work with Vista or XP trying to connect to industrial equipment. The old adage is true - you get what you pay for.

Worked well using on-line driver

I had to get a driver off of the manufacturer's website in order to get this to work (the driver on the supplied CD did not work with Vista.) However once I got the correct driver (there are a lot of them on the website so you need to know exactly which model number you've got) it worked fine. So, not exactly plug-and-play, but it did the job.
