GREAT MOVIE

I BOUGHT THIS DVD FOR MY 11 YEAR OLD GRANDSON. I JUST RETIRED FROM BEING A DAY CARE PROVIDER FOR 34 YEARS & THIS MOVIE WAS AN ALL TIME FAVORITE, NOT JUST FOR MY BOYS, BUT MY GIRLS AS WELL. AS AN ADULT IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITES ALSO. A VERY WHOLESOME, NICE CLEAN MOVIE ABOUT FRIENDS.

It Rocks!

This was my favorite movie growing up. I was soo happy to see Amazon selling it for such a reasonable price.

Sandlot is the BEST

My whole family LOVES this movie. We never tire of it. It is one of the best baseball and family movies I have ever seen. It is so funny, the cast is great as is the story. Anyone with kids that likes baseball has to get this movie!

This movie is one of the best. All ages can enjoy it and watch it over and over again. Great American Movie!

Stand By Me Meets The Little Rascals

The Sandlot was on sale in one of those DVD discount bins at my local grocery store. My kids were with me, they saw this DVD and asked if I'd get it for them. No problem at about 5 bucks.

Well, let me tell you, this DVD has paid for itself a million times over in the equivalent of baby sitting fees. My kids just want to watch The Sandlot over and over again. Pop this in the DVD player, and that's an hour and 40 minutes I know I'm free to do whatever it is that I need to do around the house...because my kids will be firmly planted in front of the TV from start to finish for this excellent family film.

I finally joined them for a viewing, and I was reminded of Rob Reiner's excellent film adaptation of Stephen King's novella The Body...which we all know as the movie Stand By Me. I think that The Sandlot Director David Evans was perhaps even inspired by Stand By Me. I can just hear the thinking: "Let's take the bad language, bad behavior and gross scenes out of Stand By Me...keep the buddy-film theme and the narration...combine it with a bit of Little Rascals style silliness...and we could have a hit for the whole family."

Indeed. The Sandlot is a hit for the whole family. It's a great lesson in the value of friendship and working together as a team to solve a problem. Perfect for young boys and girls alike. Add it to your cart.
