Read it - and be changed - really!
Although this is a book of fiction - after reading it, there is no doubt it was divinely inspired and God is using it to touch, to heal, to speak, to answer to each reader. I don't want to give anything away - but just trust me that you have to get through a very difficult first 80 pages in order to set the tone for the rest of the book. Don't give up on it and God will use this book to take you places in your head and heart that you have never been! I started the book at 10:30pm and read it straight through and finished at 4:40am. I literally could not put it down. Don't take my word or anyone else's - you must read it for yourself! Enjoy!!!!

Interpretation is 9/10 of EVERYTHING!
Let me start by saying that I LOVED this book - not because I put it before the Bible or that it 'oprahfied' my beliefs. I loved this book because it made me rethink about my personal relationship with God. I can choose to interpret many phrases or concepts in this book and bend them and shape them into my own version of Christianity. I do not think that is what the author intended us to do. I believe that the author wanted us to THINK about where our hearts are, what a relationship with the Trinity could be like and then to search for more answers. By the reviews, debates and discussions that are brought about by this book, I think the author has succeeded.
Of the many people I have spoken with that have read this book, everyone has a different opinion - as they should. If we can sit down and have good conversation that ultimately leads to the ONE answer, then I think we are on the right track. Yes, it is fiction. No, it is not the Word of God. But if people think more and search their hearts more - go to church for answers, look in the Bible for truth, discuss the book with believers - then this author has given us a small gift.

Excellent Approach
This is an enxcellent approach to suffering and evil. There is meaning in it all. We can confront even the most disturbing of circumstances with faith that in God and in Christ all will prove worthwhile. It also represents the paradigm shift that is occurring in Christianity at this time. For an excellent companion book I recommend Christian Universalism: God's Good News For All People.
Loss and Redemption
There's not adequate words to describe how powerful The
Shack
is. The new view on how we see and experience life, relationships, grief, faith, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit would be refreshing enough, but it's woven well through a emotional story that carries you through a transformational experience. I highly recommend this to Christians, seekers, and those trying to cope with loss. It walks one through all the difficult issues of faith, loss (despair, anger, resentment, forgiveness, hope), acceptance and love in such a careful and conversational way so as to bring the user along with the character's understanding and growth. The Shack is wonderful. It brought me to tears several times, changed the paradigm of my relationship with God and it changed me.

The Shack
I love this book. I bought several copies to give to my friends and all of them were inspired by the book. In my opinion it is a "must read" book!
